Last week, we launched our brand-new Mooncup Period Pants in Manchester — complete with a giant billboard and a photocopied bum that definitely turned a few heads.
But from the beginning, we knew this launch couldn’t just be about big visuals and bold headlines (even if they did involve pants). It had to mean something more.
Giving back, not just showing up.
While we were in Manchester, we reached out to The Pankhurst Trust (inc. Manchester Women’s Aid) — an incredible organisation that supports women and families affected by domestic abuse.
We donated a full range of Mooncup period care: our new reusable Period Pants and Mooncups. It was important to us to offer choice — because dignity means having options, especially when you’re navigating something difficult.
As The Pankhurst Trust told us:
“We are incredibly grateful to Mooncup Ltd for their generous donation of menstrual cups and reusable underwear. Periods should never be a barrier to safety. For survivors rebuilding their lives, access to donations like this can make a significant difference.”
We know that for many people, accessing period care isn’t a given. That’s why we believe it shouldn’t come down to where you live, how much you earn, or what you’re going through.
It’s never just period care.
When people talk about period products, they often treat them as an afterthought - something small or routine. But we know that for someone living in a refuge, managing a tight budget, or simply trying to get through the day, having the right product can make a real difference.
It’s not just about hygiene. It’s about comfort, control, and confidence. And yes, it’s about dignity too.
That’s why this donation meant so much to us. It reminded us that this — the people, the purpose, the chance to support even in a small way — is what really matters.
We’ll always love a bold campaign (and a cheeky moment or two). But this part? This is the heart of it.
