Yes! Unlike mainstream panty liners, which contain hidden petroleum plastics, Mooncup Panty Liners are made with a 100% organic cotton topsheet and FSC-certified cellulose absorbent core. No SAPs, no petroleum plastic-based adhesives - just breathable, irritation-free protection.

When we say plastic-free, we mean free from petroleum-based plastics like PE or PP.

In our pads and liners we use a plant-based biopolymer made from cornstarch (PLA), which is compostable and biodegradable (certified to EN 13432 and ASTM standards), non-toxic in both production and end of life, and completely biobased.

While PLA is technically a polymer, it is not petroleum-derived and is accepted under leading ecological standards such as GOTS.

We clearly disclose its use and independently validate all our claims to ensure transparency and compliance with the most rigorous sustainability standards.

We do not offer returns on our single-use range, Mooncup Period Underwear, Mooncup Cleaning Pot or limited editions.

We aim to send out all orders before 5pm on the next business day via Royal Mail 48 hour service. Longer dispatch times may occur over the weekend and holidays. If you think your package may have gone astray, please get in touch us and we’ll help sort the problem ASAP.

Period care is free from VAT in the UK. Deliveries outside of the UK are subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches the destination country.
