The Mooncup Impact Report 2025 is here

For too long, impact has been treated like a marketing claim.
Something you say, not something you show.

At Mooncup, we believe better period care should change things. Bodies. Systems. Standards. And if you’re going to claim change, you should be able to prove it.

That’s why, once a year, we publish our Impact Report.

Our Impact Report 2025 is now live. It’s our most honest, detailed look yet at what happened last year because people chose Mooncup. The progress we’ve made, the pressure we’ve applied, and the work that’s still ahead.

No greenwash. No vague promises. Just real impact, backed by evidence.

What better period care looks like in numbers

Impact should stand up to scrutiny. So we start with the facts.

To date, Mooncup’s commitment to organic cotton has helped protect 5,014 hectares of land, supporting lower-impact farming and healthier ecosystems. That’s around 7,000 football pitches.

And the reusables sold on our website in 2025 alone will prevent an estimated 8,172,200 single-use period products over their lifetime.

Those numbers aren’t pulled from thin air. The methodology is published, the assumptions are clear, and the maths is there to be checked. Because trust is earned by transparency.

Expanding choice without compromise

Better period care doesn’t look the same for everyone.

Last year, we launched Mooncup period pants, built for people who don’t want to use a cup, can’t use one, or simply want options. Reusable shouldn’t mean “good enough”.

Our pants are designed to absorb up to 10 tampons’ worth, washed and reused up to 100 times, and made without PFAS or silver. Soft on skin, leakproof, and built for bodies that move, sleep, bleed, bloat, run, rest, and live.

Because your body deserves more than a one-size-fits-all solution.

Always evolving, never “done”

We don’t believe period care is something you finish.

Last year, we upgraded our pads again. Softer materials. Reduced adhesives. Optimised design. All without compromising absorbency or biodegradability.

Innovation at Mooncup isn’t a launch moment. It’s a habit. We refine, test, and improve because bodies change, expectations rise, and “good enough” isn’t good enough.

Building a stronger, more resilient business

Impact doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s shaped by how a company is run.

In 2024, Mooncup achieved profitability, making us one of the very few profitable brands in sustainable period care. We see that not as an endpoint, but as leverage. The kind that lets us invest long-term, stay independent, and keep raising the bar.

Last year also marked a leadership milestone, with Paulina stepping into the role of Managing Director after transforming our operations. We’ve strengthened our infrastructure too, partnering with a Soil Association-certified 3PL that hires locally, invests in apprenticeships, and ships orders using FSC-certified packaging and paper tape.

How products are made matters. How they reach you matters too.

Taking impact beyond our own shelves

Better period care should be easy to find.

In 2025, we expanded retail access, doubling the number of Boots stores stocking Mooncup and joining LOOKFANTASTIC. We partnered with local councils to provide free and subsidised Mooncups, helping tackle period poverty while reducing waste.

We also worked with forward-thinking workplaces, gyms, and organisations to make period dignity standard, not an afterthought. Because access isn’t a buzzword. It’s logistics.

Responsibility, not goodwill

When period care isn’t accessible, it’s not just inconvenient. It’s unjust.

Last year, we donated products to organisations supporting people facing crisis and insecurity, from homelessness charities to women’s refuges and schools. Through initiatives like Fund a Cycle, purchases on our website helped fund period care for others who needed it most.

We don’t do charity for optics. We do it because access to period care is a basic need.

Making noise for menstrual health

We don’t just make products. We apply pressure.

In 2025, we joined cross-industry efforts pushing for safer tampon regulation, backed petitions delivered to Parliament, and called out greenwashing wherever it showed up. Because misleading claims don’t just harm trust, they harm bodies and the planet.

We’re also helping drive menstrual science forward. Mooncups are now being used in real research, supporting studies analysing period blood and generating millions of data points to advance reproductive health understanding.

This is where product meets proof.

What’s next

We’re not done. Not even close.

We’re deep in R&D on new materials. Expanding access through more retailers, councils, and public spaces. Strengthening partnerships. Pushing menstrual health into places it’s been ignored for too long.

And because periods don’t start and end at neat ages, we’re working on solutions for every life stage, from first periods to perimenopause and beyond.

The movement grows from here.
