Mooncup products are now MTick® certified, supporting every stage of your menstrual life

Periods don’t suddenly disappear just because you’re approaching menopause.

In fact, for many people, even whose cycles have been regular for years can become heavier, lighter, longer, shorter or completely unpredictable.

One month you might skip a period altogether. The next, you’re changing your pad far more often than you ever have before.

Yet most period care still seems designed around one idea of what a “normal” period looks like.

We don’t think that’s good enough.

That’s why we’re proud to announce that four Mooncup products have achieved MTick® certification, GenM’s independent mark of trust for menopause-friendly products.

Our Mooncup Original Menstrual Cup, Pads with Wings, Pocket Packs and Panty Liners have all been independently assessed to support people experiencing period changes during perimenopause and menopause.

Because every stage deserves period care you can trust.

Why period care shouldn’t stop working when your cycle changes

For decades, period care has been designed around a textbook menstrual cycle.

Regular.
Predictable.
Twenty-eight days.
The same flow, month after month.

But real life rarely works like that.

Around 1 in 3 people still menstruating at 45 experiences periods that are heavier, more unpredictable and more disruptive than before.

For many, these changes are one of the earliest signs of perimenopause.

That means period products need to do more than work for your twenties. They need to work for every stage of your life.

What is MTick® certification?

MTick® is GenM’s independent symbol that identifies products designed to support people experiencing menopause and perimenopause.

Rather than relying on marketing claims, products must demonstrate evidence that they support recognised menopause signs before they can carry the MTick®.

For Mooncup, that means our certified products have been independently recognised as suitable for people experiencing period changes linked to menopause.

It’s proof, not promises.

Which Mooncup products are MTick® certified?

The following products now carry the MTick® certification:

Whether your periods become heavier, arrive unexpectedly or simply stop following any predictable pattern, these products are designed to help you feel prepared.

Perimenopause doesn’t have one “normal” period

One of the biggest myths about menopause is that your periods simply become lighter until they disappear.

Perimenopause can begin as early as your mid-30s, although many people start experiencing symptoms in their 40s. It can last anywhere from two to eight years before menopause, meaning changes to your period may continue for much longer than you expect.

In reality, many people experience:

  • Heavier bleeding
  • Longer periods
  • Shorter cycles
  • Missed periods followed by heavy ones
  • Spotting between periods
  • Completely unpredictable timing

For some people, these changes can continue for several years before menopause.

That’s why having reliable period care still matters.

Why independent certification matters

Anyone can say their products are suitable for menopause.

Independent certification gives you something more valuable: confidence.

MTick® shows that our products have been assessed against recognised menopause signs rather than simply marketed towards midlife.

It’s another step towards giving people clearer information and better choices during a stage of life that’s still surrounded by misinformation.

More conversations, better period care

At Mooncup, we’ve spent more than twenty years challenging outdated ideas about periods.

Menopause is a part of that conversation.

As Paulina Szklarek, Managing Director at Mooncup, explains:

“Menstrual health has always been full of challenges women are told to simply put up with, and menopause is no different. MTick® gives women something they deserve and rarely get: proof.”

Because menopause isn’t the end of your menstrual story.

It’s simply another chapter.

And your period care should keep up.
