We zijn op zoek naar een gedurfde, commercieel scherpe leider om Mooncup naar het volgende niveau te brengen. Als Head of Retail leid je onze uitbreiding in supermarkten, apotheken en groothandelskanalen in het VK en daarbuiten.

Dit is niet zomaar een verkoopfunctie, het is een leidinggevende kans in het hart van een baanbrekend, missiegedreven merk. Je bouwt een gloednieuwe afdeling vanaf de grond op, vormt en beheert onze retailstrategie en leidt Mooncup naar de volgende groeifase. Je krijgt de kans om een visie te creëren en uit te voeren die bepaalt hoe miljoenen mensen wereldwijd Mooncup ervaren. Je bouwt je team, ontwerpt je playbooks en leidt de inspanning om omzet en marktaandeel binnen de retailsector te vergroten, samenwerkend met een gepassioneerd leiderschapsteam dat de regels herschrijft in duurzame persoonlijke verzorging.

Verkoopstrategie en leiderschap: 

• Beheer en verfijn continu de verkoopstrategie om te voldoen aan ambitieuze retail- en groothandelsplannen.
• Bouw en beheer commerciële plannen voor supermarkten, drogisterijen, apotheken, groothandel en andere retailkanalen.
• Leid forecasting, verkoopprestatieanalyse en volledige P&L-beheer voor alle retail- en groothandelsactiviteiten.
• Ontwikkel jaarlijkse budgetten en prestatie-indicatoren; zorg voor tracking en het behalen van doelen.
• Leid alle commerciële onderhandelingen en gezamenlijke bedrijfsplanning met key accounts.
• Werk nauw samen met marketing aan op maat gemaakte tradeplannen en in-store activaties om zichtbaarheid en doorverkoop te stimuleren.

Accountbeheer:

• Fungeer als strategisch leider voor alle Mooncup-accounts (nationaal en key), en koester sterke, op vertrouwen gebaseerde relaties met kopers om assortimentuitbreidingen, winkeluitbreidingen en NPD-kansen te waarborgen.
• Beheer trade spend en promotieplanning om ROI te maximaliseren en tegelijkertijd financiële gezondheid te waarborgen.
• Analyseer marktgegevens, categorietrends en prestatie-indicatoren om strategie te informeren en groei te ontsluiten, en deel deze met retailers.
• Zorg voor een uitstekende klantervaring, accountgezondheid en consistente merkstandaarden bij alle partners.

Cross-functionele samenwerking: 

• Zorg voor product- en voorraadnaleving binnen ons retailnetwerk.
• Werk nauw samen met Operations en Finance om afstemming te bereiken over forecasting, promotiebudgetten en winstgevendheid.
• Ondersteun Product en Merk door tijdige markt-, categorie- en kopersfeedback te leveren om innovatie- en marketingstrategieën te informeren.

• Meer dan 5 jaar ervaring in verkoop- of commerciële functies binnen FMCG.
• Bewezen succes in het beheren van nationale en belangrijke Britse retailaccounts, met sterke relaties met inkopers en commercieel inzicht.
• Analytisch, data-gedreven en zelfverzekerd in het navigeren van winst- en verliesrekeningen, prognoses en categorieprestaties.
• Ondernemend en zelfgemotiveerd, met ervaring in snelgroeiende en hoogpresterende omgevingen.
• Uitstekende communicator en onderhandelaar; samenwerkingsgericht en oplossingsgericht.
• Je moet een oprechte passie hebben voor onze missie - we zoeken iemand met een commerciële instelling maar een activistisch hart, die zijn of haar passie voor gezondheidsrechtvaardigheid, duurzaamheid, menstruatie en vrouwen gezondheid kan aantonen.

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Polymer Chemist to join the founding team of our venture-backed deep-tech startup, developing a novel, patent-pending biobased superabsorbent polymer. As a core technical hire, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and commissioning our laboratory and driving polymer R&D from concept to pilot scale. The ideal candidate has proven expertise in polymer synthesis and modification, particularly with natural polymers, and thrives in a practical lab environment. You will define experimental strategies, execute research, and help translate cutting-edge technology into real-world applications, making a tangible impact in a fast-paced, early-stage startup.

R&D Execution

• Strong knowledge on analytical techniques such as FTIR, NMR, DSC, TGA, GPC rheology surface analysis and swelling index testing, and gel strength evaluation to characterise polymers physical chemical properties and performances.
• Develop and characterise biobased polymers with attention to sustainability, biodegradability, and environmental impact.
• Assist in experimental design, method development, and formulation optimisation. 
• Design and optimise polymerisation reactions and functionalisation strategies to achieve target molecular weights, crosslink densities, and performance properties.
• Experience developing polymer blends, composites, or hydrogels, and tuning mechanical or functional properties for application.
• Performing application-relevant performance tests (absorbency under load, retention, gel strength, viscosity, biodegradation).
• Analyse data and present insights to the Technical Lead to guide research priorities and timelines.

Data, Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain meticulous laboratory records, including notebooks, technical data logs, and experiment tracking.
• Support technical reporting for IP filings, investor updates, and grant applications.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations (COSHH, risk assessments, waste disposal protocols).
  

Collaboration & Team Support

• Work collaboratively with the Technical Lead to support and execute research activities.
• Participate in lab meetings, troubleshooting sessions, and cross-functional discussions around R&D milestones, technology validation and scale-up planning.

• MSc or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in polymer synthesis and modification, ideally involving natural polymers. 
• Practical experience with analytical techniques such as NMR, FTIR, DSC, TGA, swelling measurements, and gel strength evaluation.
• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail in data management and experimental documentation.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a small, collaborative team.
• Enthusiasm for working in an early-stage startup and building lab capabilities from the ground up.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and develop new methods to characterise polymer properties.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of lab processes while collaborating as part of a small technical team.
• Adapt to evolving project priorities and contribute to multiple facets of lab operations as the startup grows.
